Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How much do driving lessons cost?

Driving lessons are £57 per lesson.

How long are your driving lessons?

All lessons are 90 minutes long. Longer lessons allow more time for learning, practice, and reflection, helping pupils progress more efficiently than shorter sessions.

Do you offer manual or automatic lessons?

I currently offer manual driving lessons only.

Learning in a manual vehicle means you'll gain a full UK driving licence, allowing you to drive both manual and automatic vehicles once you pass your test.

How often should I have lessons?

I offer weekly lessons and recommend maintaining a regular lesson schedule wherever possible.

Weekly lessons help build confidence, improve retention, and allow steady progress towards your driving test.

How many lessons will I need before I can pass my test?

There is no set number of lessons as every learner is different.

The time it takes to learn to drive depends on a range of factors, including:

Previous driving experience

Confidence levels

Ability to learn new skills

Opportunities for private practice

Frequency of lessons

Some learners progress quickly, whilst others may require additional time and support. My aim is to help you become a safe and confident driver at a pace that suits you.

Do I need to pass my theory test before starting lessons?

No. You can begin practical driving lessons before passing your theory test.

However, I strongly recommend working towards your theory test as early as possible, as you cannot book a practical driving test until your theory test has been passed.

Can I use your car for my driving test?

Yes, provided you have reached a safe and test-ready standard and all lesson and test fees have been paid.

The final decision on vehicle use remains with the instructor to ensure the safety of both the pupil and other road users.

Do you offer intensive courses?

No. I currently offer weekly driving lessons as I believe regular practice provides the best opportunity to develop safe driving habits and long-term confidence.
